So here are some suggestions that can help you to narrow down your options and choices that best suits your style and home:

Natural earth and sky tones:

Keep it natural and light by using earth and air like tones for your space.  To create the light and soft tones from the sky, try blending mixes of whites and light blues then combine them with deep avocado green and neutral browns like that of the earth. The mixture of these tones brings the calming outdoors to the inside on those days when it is extremely hot.

Oceanic tones:

Fresh and soothing ocean colors such as blue and green are great to place within your space.  The color combo helps to give a relaxing and rejuvenating vibe throughout the space that will lift your spirits and bring clarity to your being like that of a beach.  Select these tones along with some rustic or woven furniture for a comfort and vibrancy.  Also, try adding in hints of gray to set a neutral tone and break up the brighter colors.

Use the colors of the reefs:

Another part of the ocean that carries plenty of rich and warm colors is the coral reef.  The coral can usually have colors that are similar to that of a tropical island that inspire a tranquil yet inviting atmosphere to your home.  Here’s a tip take the coral colored walls and pair them up with oceanic blue and green décor for more of the coastal environment.  Also, for more of that ambiance fill glasses with sand or and seashells around.

The colors of the sunset:

Pull out the colors from a sunset for your color scheme.  Different shades of oranges, yellows, and pinks are the more dominant colors within a sunset. Use a dull shade of yellow for the color of the walls and save the more vibrant and dramatic colors such as a burnt orange or strong pink for the accent pieces and trim. This theme is good for a room that may not receive a lot of sunlight to help liven it up as if it did.
